Join us for a fun session to discover the history of the Thames.

A chance to get onto the foreshore at Millennium Bridge and find archaeological ‘Treasures of the Thames’. Who knows what will be discovered – smoking pipes, drain pipes, pottery, bones…there is lots of evidence of London’s past to be found. Money raised from these sessions goes into supporting our school teaching programme.

Meeting by the glass obelix under the north bank of the Millennium Bridge we will explore the foreshore from there to Queenhithe Dock. We are guaranteed to find pipes, pottery and lots of evidence as the twice daily tide reveals London’s history…

A note to our regular participants: walks on different days will start and finish at different times depending on the tide and weather conditions. See above for the times of this walk.

Please pay by clicking the Paypal button above – once you are on that page you don’t need a Paypal account – just click on pay by debit or credit card.

Booking is essential and limited to 30 people. Children must be accompanied by an adult (minimum age for children is 5 years). Maximum of 2 children per adult. We require 15 participants for the event to go ahead. In the event of the walk being cancelled due to low numbers we will notify you two weeks beforehand and issue you with a full refund. Unfortunately we cannot issue refunds for personal cancellations.

If you have any questions please email: or ring 020 8742 0057

Please dress for the possibility of bad weather. Wear clothing that can get muddy and wear Wellingtons or other suitable stout footwear. Happy exploring…
