Commissioned exploring

One of the best ways to get to know the London is by looking at it from the perspective of the foreshore. Join us on one of our guided visits to discover the heritage of the capital for yourself.

The Thames foreshore offers a unique perspective on the capital. Thames Explorer has been hosting foreshore exploration for over 30 years and our experienced guides are the best way to discover the secrets of its previous inhabitants. We ask that you take only photographs and learning from the foreshore and not artefacts. Foreshore safety is a high priority for us and we are the publishers of the Thames Foreshore Health and Safety manual. We hold a foreshore permit and liability insurance.

Follow in the Footsteps of Mudlarks

Book one of our archaeologists for you or your private group (maximum group size 30) for 2 hours. Private explorations can be tailored to your needs and take place all year round on the day of your choice (staff and tide allowing). People book for many reasons including birthdays (both children and adults), special occasions or simply out of curiosity. We see a wide range of ages from 5 to 80 and beyond, from the USA to Japan.

Happy exploring!
