Exploring the Thames
The Thames in London is tidal, so unlike many other capital cities, its foreshore can be explored at low tide which makes it one of the most memorable and exciting school outings in London. Thames Explorer has been using the River Thames as an outdoor learning tool for 31 years and is regarded as the leading experts in teaching on, and about the river.
We regularly see 16,000 plus pupils each year at one of 9 river sites from Isleworth in the west to Greenwich in the east. Our hands-on interactive programmes encourage pupils to investigation for themselves the Thames’ environment
